Световният шампион [[Ланс Армстронг]] имал [[рак на тестиса]] с метастази в белия дроб, които се считат за нелечими – и дори в мозъка. Опериран е и са му правени много месеци химиотерапия. След лечението той става седем пъти шампион в [[Тур дьо Франс]]. Същият злокачествен рак преодолява и българският футболист [[Любослав Пенев]].
