English: MEDITERRANEAN OCEAN (Aug. 19, 2009) Sailors assigned to the guided missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55) direct a Turkish helicopter during a vertical replenishment for exercise Reliant Mermaid 2009. The annual exercise between Israeli, Turkish and U.S. forces are based on scripted humanitarian search and rescue scenarios and designed to enhance maritime interoperability between participating nations.
